Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American writer, syndicated journalist and a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece she moved to England when she was sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. As a conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The celebrity she enjoyed allowed her to persuade a number of famous people to share their opinions on current events, culture and politics. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall vote in order to replace Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of a Detroit project to promote the use of fuel-efficient cars. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top female media personality, taking the 12th position in the list and in the same year Guardian named her to the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she was made president of this media group. This included many AOL properties of the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, even though she was very close to him. At a young age, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. at the age of 16 she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the debate societies in the college which she later became the first foreign and female president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic and a television host. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on the show Face the music.
