Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. The father of Zoe Saldana is Dominican, and her mother Puerto Rican. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father is Dominican. The family she was born into moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would spend the next seven year. Zoe began to develop a fascination for dancing while in the Dominican Republic.
